My paintings are very much based on the description of light and color, different light conditions and the diversity of color tones. I paint my work from visual observation and slowly work on them layer after layer.
I used to live in a countryside where it was possible to see different predators in the wild. There were a lot of owls in my yard, and idea of painting them started to fascinate me. How would that be possible?
I also found owls in old paintings. They were never in the main role in the works of the old masters, but always as a small element in the background. I decided to photograph owls in a portrait-like manner, carefully studying different species.
