Multidisciplinary artist Noora Ylipieti (MA, b. 1981) graduated from the Lahti Institute of Fine Arts and Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture. Her primary artistic techniques include painting, community art, and installation. Her most significant project is the *Vulnerability* series, launched in 2021, which comprises over 1,000 works.
The artist, who is of Sámi heritage, has held numerous solo and group exhibitions at venues such as the Gallen-Kallela Museum, Heinola Art Museum, Aine Art Museum, Jakobstad Museum, Rauma Art Museum, and Kemi Art Museum.
Ylipieti’s works are included in collections such as those of HUS (Helsinki University Hospital), Kemi Art Museum, the A-Clinic Foundation, and the Tuulensuu Art Foundation. She is a full member of the Finnish Painters’ Union and Vice-Chair of the multidisciplinary art organization MUU. Additionally, she is a member of the artist duo Vastiala-Ylipieti, the Artists’ Association of Lapland, Meän Periferia, Espoo Visual Artists, and the Artists’ Association YÖ.
During the remainder of the year, Ylipieti’s works will be on display in the following group exhibitions:
