“At the moment, in my oil paintings I explore plants and underwater landscapes. I am drawn to the quiet complexity of organic forms, and painting plants has become a natural continuation of my lifelong relationship with the botanical world. Through these subjects, I move between observation and imagination, shifting from the structures of leaves and stems to the soft, airy atmosphere of underwater spaces.
I am interested in how living forms carry both fragility and resilience. By focusing on plants and underwater environments, I aim to offer the viewer a moment of pause — an invitation to notice the subtle rhythms of nature that often go unseen.” – Ligita Purina
